What is Orajel Mouth Gel 5.3g and what is it used for?
Relieves mouth ulcer and denture irritation pain with a local anaesthetic gel. It contains Benzocaine 10% w/w.
Suitable for: Adults and children over 12 years.

Always use Orajel Mouth Gel 5.3g exactly as described in the Patient Information Leaflet or as advised by a healthcare professional. Follow the recommended dose, method of use and maximum treatment duration for this product, and do not exceed the stated dose.
Important information about Orajel Mouth Gel 5.3g
- Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
- If you have been told by your doctor that you have difficulty converting a component of your blood called methaemoglobin to haemoglobin. See section 4 for more details.
- In children below the age of 12 years.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Orajel Mouth Gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Stop using the gel and contact your doctor or dentist immediately if any of the following occur: • an allergic reaction (burning, stinging, itching, redness, rash and/or swelling) • skin irritation • a condition called methaemoglobinaemia (difficulty converting a component of your blood called methaemoglobin to haemoglobin).
