Suitable for: Adults and children over 12 years. Do not use if you have glaucoma, other eye disease or have had eye surgery unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Active ingredients: Naphazoline hydrochloride 0.01% w/v and distilled witch hazel 12.5% v/v.

Optrex Bloodshot Eye Drops are medicated eye drops designed to temporarily relieve redness of the eyes caused by minor eye irritation. Dusty or smoky atmospheres, eye strain and chlorine from swimming pools can make the eyes appear red and uncomfortable. These drops help reduce the appearance of redness and support eye comfort.

Who Is This Product For?

Optrex Bloodshot Eye Drops are suitable for adults and children over 12 years who need temporary relief from red or bloodshot eyes caused by minor irritation. They may be useful where redness is linked to environmental factors such as smoke, dust, swimming pool chlorine or eye strain.

How to Use

Use as directed in the patient leaflet. Gently squeeze 1 or 2 drops into each eye as required. Do not use more than 4 times in 24 hours. Wash and dry your hands before use and avoid touching the eye, eyelid or surrounding skin with the dropper nozzle.

Contact Lens Advice

This product contains benzalkonium chloride, which may be absorbed by soft contact lenses and may change their colour. Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

Possible Side Effects

Possible side effects may include eye irritation, eye pain, stinging, increased redness, headache, dizziness or nausea. Stop using the product and seek medical advice if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, worsening redness or signs of an allergic reaction.

Advisory

For use in the eyes only. Do not use if you are allergic to naphazoline, witch hazel or any of the other ingredients. Do not use if you have glaucoma, other eye disease or have had eye surgery unless advised by a healthcare professional. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid problems or are taking other medicines.

Storage

Store below 25°C. Do not freeze. Do not use after the expiry date. Throw away any unused drops 28 days after first opening the bottle.
