What Is A NHS Emergency Supply & How Can Chrystalls Pharmacy Help You?
If you have completely run out of your regular repeat medication and need it urgently, you can get a limited emergency supply through the NHS 111 Online Emergency Prescription Service.
How does it work?
If you have run out of your Repeat Medication(s) and have had it regularly in the last 6mths, we can issue you a short supply max 28days at the pharmacist discretion and subject to approval.
How to access service:
•Use the form to give us your details and we will do everything for you.
•Let you know when it is ready for collection or out for delivery.
•Alternatively you can use https://111.nhs.uk/emergency-prescription
What can be given?
We can supply any prescription medication(POM) except for Controlled Drugs: Highly regulated medications, such as morphine, tramadol, gabapentin, or diazepam, cannot be given as an emergency supply without a doctor’s physical prescription.
Who Can Access this?
Anyone can get this service, as long as we can verify that you have had the medication(s) before. This will be done by checking your Pharmacy records or by checking your GP Surgery records.
Do i have to pay for it?
No. If you do not pay for your normal NHS Prescriptions, then the emergency supply is free, we might need to confirm your exemption.
If you do pay it will be one(1) NHS Charge of £9.90 per item given
How do i get my medication?
Easy. Once prescription is ready you can either come to the pharmacy and collect or have it delivered. Charges do apply for this service through Chrystalls Connect:
