Antibacterial Cream for Minor Burns, Cuts and Scalds

Acriflex 0.25% w/w Cream contains chlorhexidine gluconate, an antibacterial agent that helps protect against infection in minor skin injuries. It is suitable for treating minor burns and scalds, abrasions, scratches, sunburn blisters and infected, cracked skin.

Who Is This Product For?

Adults, the elderly and children with minor burns, scalds, abrasions, scratches, sunburn blisters or infected cracked skin who need an antibacterial cream to help protect the area while it heals.

How to Use

Apply freely to clean, dry, affected skin and smooth in gently. For cuts, abrasions or minor burns, the cream may be spread on the area and covered with a suitable dressing if needed. Use as often as required. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not use in body cavities such as the mouth, vagina or inner ear.

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, this cream can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These may include local skin reactions such as redness, itching, rash, eczema, irritation or blisters. Rarely, severe allergic reactions can occur, with symptoms such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, breathing difficulties, dizziness or collapse. Stop using the cream and seek medical help immediately if you notice signs of a serious allergic reaction.

For external use only. Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate or any of the other ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Do not use in body cavities (e.g. mouth, vagina, inner ear). Keep out of the sight and reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice straight away, taking the pack with you.
